What a searing pain of hunger their appearance now compels.
On the TV loud and bare
The commercials in the air
Make my stomach shift and hunger twist and groan.
For every sound that floats
From the hunger in my throat
Is a moan.

So I scribbled this out after a Lit final a couple days ago. Had some extra time, and the poem was sitting right in front of me. So this was born out of boredom and hunger.
